Why I am in support!
Haley Cotter
SHS Alum, Central Methodist University
"Hello my name is Haley Cotter, I am a proud alumni of Smithville High School. I grew up through all the schools and facilities Smithville has to offer. Having these facilities allowed me to become not only a hard-working athlete but student as well. Building new facilities is more than just creating a space for a game to be played; it's an investment in the community, in youth development, and in the power of sports to bring people together. The impact it will have is long-lasting, far-reaching, and immeasurable, touching lives in ways that go far beyond the final score. That's why I believe if you're a member of our great community, you should vote in favor of this bond issue!"

SHS FACS Teacher
"With the support of voting "yes" on April 8, the FACS department would receive a much needed update to our learning spaces that support our students in gaining real world learning experiences. Our department has grown tremendously over the last 5-10 years which has resulted in the space being outgrown, outdated and unsafe. Due to the lack of ventilation, being on the second floor, space for appropriate equipment and more, our class offerings are impacted which limits student opportunities for learning and experiences as well as possible credentials for their future careers. "As a graduate of Smithville High School, a resident of the community, and a parent to two kids in the district
- I have had a front row seat to the growth and change over the years. It is time to invest in our future to ensure top-notch opportunities for all Smithville students.
Academics,
Facilities, and Athletics - Strive to be the best in all! Our kids can do anything!!"

"As an alumni of Smithville High School and a kid who grew up within the school district my whole life, facilities within the district play a huge factor in the students' growth. Having the right resources for these students not only gives them the opportunity to participate in activities they enjoy, but it also gives them the opportunity to better themselves as human beings and athletes. Now is the time to show our commitment to future generations and provide the tools and resources they need to succeed. I encourage every member of our community to come together and vote in favor of this bond issue, as it represents a vital investment in the success of our students."
Maverick McDonald
SHS Alum, Ottawa Arizona
"As a proud Smithville High School alumnus and current college baseball player, I know firsthand how important strong schools and facilities are for student success both in the classroom and on the field. Investing in our schools means investing in the future of Smithville students, giving them the resources and opportunities they need to achieve their goals. I fully support the Smithville bond issue and encourage our community to come together to make a lasting impact for generations to come."

"Our locker rooms serve their purpose well, providing a convenient space for students, athletes and visitors to prepare and unwind.
However, with some updates, they could become even more functional and comfortable. Improvements like modernized lockers, better ventilation, and upgraded amenities would enhance the overall experience. Investing in these upgrades will ensure our tacilities continue to meet the needs of our community for years to come."
